Choosing the right name is one of them and it\u2019s far from easy. Apart from an available domain, you need a name that is unique, short, and ideally easy to pronounce and remember. Its usability for foreign speakers is also something to consider. We chose <strong>Geneea <\/strong>(registered as <strong>Geneea Analytics<\/strong>). We love that it brings together magic tricks of a genie from a lamp and the confidence we have in our own abilities. It also reflects the playfulness we took to the business world with us.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Being a Czech company, many of our clients and partners are Czechs. And they often wonder how to pronounce our name. Czech spelling is very straightforward \u2013 it is not completely one letter \u2013 one sound, but it is fairly close. If a Czech sees <em>Geneea,<\/em> they often pronounce it the Czech way: [g\u025bn\u025b:a] <em>(ghe-neh-ah)<\/em>. At the same time, they feel it looks a little bit exotic and wonder: should it be [g\u025bni:a] <em>(ghe-nee-ah)<\/em>? Or maybe\u2026 We use [d\u0361\u0292\u026a\u02c8ni:\u0259] <em>(je-NEE-ah)<\/em>, but if anyone pronounces it differently, we\u2019re absolutely fine with that. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It also gets a little tricky when people are looking for us on-line:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>geenea <\/strong><strong>\u2013 g<\/strong><strong>eneaa <\/strong><strong>\u2013<\/strong><strong> geneae <\/strong><strong>\u2013 <\/strong><strong>geneee <\/strong><strong>\u2013 <\/strong><strong>geniea <\/strong><strong>\u2013 g<\/strong><strong>ennea <\/strong><strong>\u2013 <\/strong><strong>etc.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fortunately, Google has started to return our pages even with some of the above forms:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"782\" height=\"294\" src=\"https:\/\/geneea.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Google-Geenea-Geneea.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1152\" srcset=\"https:\/\/geneea.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Google-Geenea-Geneea.jpg 782w, https:\/\/geneea.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Google-Geenea-Geneea-300x113.jpg 300w, https:\/\/geneea.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Google-Geenea-Geneea-768x289.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 782px) 100vw, 782px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>While still not at 100 percent, finding us on Google using an incorrect form of our name has gotten considerably less difficult, especially when the name is followed by \u201cNLP\u201d, \u201ctext analytics\u201d, or something similar.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Inflecting the word <em>Geneea<\/em> is another reason why our Czech clients and partners turn to us for help. Czech as most other Slavic languages likes to use different forms of nouns depending on whether they are subjects, objects, something is given to them or taken from them, etc. So to address Geneea in Czech, remember to use <em>Geneeo!<\/em> ;-).<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you ever feel like talking or writing about us, please do so and don\u2019t worry about spelling or pronunciation too much.
