As in previous years, Geneea actively participated in one of the world’s largest media and journalism conferences. The World News Media Congress, organized by WAN-IFRA and held this year in Krakow, Poland, attracts over 1,000 participants from more than 70 countries each year.
Representing Geneea were our co-founder Petr Hamerník and our account manager Alžbeta Tomčíková.
“I always look forward to the World News Media Congress. It’s a rare opportunity to meet top media executives from around the world who are genuinely invested in the future of their organizations. For us at Geneea, it’s incredibly valuable to hear what challenges media companies are facing so we can better support them with our technology and analytics.
That’s also why Geneea is a proud sponsor of the event,” says Petr.
Not surprisingly, the dominant theme of the conference was the media’s evolving relationship with artificial intelligence and the impact of AI’s rapid rise. Speakers tackled key questions around building loyal reader communities, attracting new audiences, and the growing importance of subscription strategies.

There was also a strong focus on how newsrooms themselves are using AI and how it can support quality journalism.
We were glad to join the conversation on the future of media and AI. Thanks to everyone who stopped by our booth—and we’ll see you next year in Marseille!
